At the end of every year, the British Computer Society (BCS) awards the companies that have demonstrated their business skills in very successful projects utilizing IT and business technologies: “The BCS IM Awards are the premier European recognition of excellence and innovation in the management of business information” as they claim.

The Awards are devided into ten categories. Finally, between 13 finalists in the “Knowledge Management” category 2006, the BCS awarded IDM as Highly Commended for the most innovative and successful knowledge management the Oxford University Press’ OED project.
